Student Enrollment

Welcome to Clover Park School District! New kindergarten students as well as new elementary, middle and high school students can enroll at a Clover Park school for the current school year by completing our new online enrollment form.

Please gather these 3 required documents before you get started: 

  1. Proof of Residency (e.g. utility bill or renter's statement, etc. in the name of the legal guardian)
  2. Birth Certificate (required by preschool and kindergarten)
  3. Certificate of Immunization (health department approved options)
  • If you do not have a student enrolled in a CPSD school, follow the process below:

    Kindergarten families should review the Kindergarten information page prior to starting the new enrollment process.

    For NEW enrollments, create a Skyward enrollment account and follow the directions in the email you receive. If you need to view the enrollment account page in languages other than English use the translate feature in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. If you need assistance, please contact the school you are enrolling your student in for the upcoming school year.

  • If you already have a student enrolled in a CPSD school, log in to Skyward Family Access and click "New Student Online Enrollment" in the left navigation menu.

    These required documents can be uploaded to the online enrollment system at Step 5 or brought to the school building so copies can be made:

    • Medically verified proof of Immunization signed by health care professional (enrollment cannot be processed until this is received by the school)
    • Proof of residence (i.e.: rental agreement or utility bill)
    • Parent/Guardian photo identification
    • Proof of age and legal name (student’s birth certificate, passport, DSHS or medical records will be accepted)
    • Previous report cards or transcripts, if applicable
  • If you child requires special education services, download and complete the SPED Request for Records form and upload it to the online enrollment form or provide to the school. 

Virtual Learning (Alternative Learning)

If you are interested in enrolling your student in virtual learning, you will enroll at your resident school and request a transfer.

 

Transfers and Waivers

  • If you are interested in having your student attend a school other than their neighborhood school, you will need to complete an In District Transfer/Waiver process annually for each student. 

    Select the link below, fill out, and submit the Request to Transfer 

    Next Year- 2025-26 English Form | 2025-26 Spanish Form 

    Resident (Neighborhood) School: the school your student would attend based on the student’s home address. IF your student is transitioning to secondary, please select the resident middle school or high school from the drop-down list. 

    Requested School: the school your want your student to attend. IF your student is transitioning to secondary, please select the requested middle school or high school from the drop-down list. 

    Grade Level: grade student is in or will be in based on the year you are requesting the transfer. IF your student is a 5th grader this year and a 6th grader next year and you are working on the transfer for the next school year, select 6th grade. 

    Make sure you Submit by pressing the Continue button when done 

    Harrison Preparatory (grades 6-12) requires both an Online Enrollment application and a Transfer between CPSD Schools (In District) OR a Non-Resident application and Release of Attendance (Out of District). This is required for all students requesting enrollment to Harrison Preparatory. 

  • If you live outside of CPSD and want your student to attend a school in CPSD.

    MAKE SURE YOU SUBMIT THE APPLICATION FOR THE CORRECT SCHOOL YEAR

    Requested School: the school you want your student to attend. IF your student is transitioning to secondary, please select the requested middle school or high school from the drop-down list.

    A Release of Attendance from your resident district is also required.

    • REQUESTS SUBMITTED THROUGH THE CHOICE SYSTEM: If done correctly you will receive an email (usually within a few minutes) stating “you have successfully submitted, etc.” If you do not receive this email, you will need to contact the district to help determine why it did not submit.

  • To attend a non-resident district, the resident district (Clover Park SD) must first release the student to start the transfer process.

    1. Please complete a Choice Transfer request system to leave CPSD (resident district).

Enrollment Frequently Asked Questions

  • Determine the school your student will attend by entering your address into the school locator tool on our district website. Then, fill out our online enrollment form. 

    If your family is new to the district, you will create a new account to register your child. Once you have created an account, you will be emailed instructions for logging in and completing your online registration. If your family currently has a student in the district, you will log into Skyward Family Access using your current username and password. 

  • If you don’t have access to a computer, laptop, smartphone or the internet, you are invited to visit your neighborhood school and enroll directly with the office staff. If you are unable to identify your local school, you can visit the district office (10903 Gravelly Lake Drive SW, Lakewood) and enroll there. 

  • Enrollment can be completed using our online enrollment form. You will need to provide the following information as you complete the online enrollment form: 

    • The school your student will attend 
    • Doctor and dentist office contact information 
    • Emergency contact information 
    • Previous school address and phone number, if applicable 

    Once you have submitted the online enrollment form, you will be asked to provide the following documents: 

    • Medically verified proof of Immunization signed by health care professional (enrollment cannot be processed until this is received by the school)

    • Your photo identification 
    • Proof of age and legal name for kindergarten students (student’s birth certificate, passport, DSHS or medical records will be accepted) 
    • Previous report cards or transcripts, if applicable 

    These documents can be uploaded to the online enrollment system or brought to the school building so copies can be made.<

  • You can submit the online enrollment form without providing all of the necessary documents. You can submit the documents you do not upload with the form to your child’s school so copies can be made. 

  • Washington state law requires children enrolling in public schools to present proof of immunity to specific communicable diseases. Changes to state law may impact a child’s ability to start school this year. 

    All newly submitted immunization documents must meet the medically verified standard. This means any new or updated immunization records turned in to the school must be from a health care provider, or a parent must attach paperwork from a health care provider to the handwritten form that shows a child’s records are accurate. 

    Additionally, students must receive all eligible vaccines before starting school. There is no longer a 30-day conditional/grace period. Specific immunization information is available on the district website and at all schools.

  • If you do not live in Clover Park School District but would like to enroll at a school in the district: 

    Gain release from your home district. This page lists surrounding districts and their contact information. Notify our Student Services department by email at pjones@cloverpark.k12.wa.us or by phone at (253) 583-5154. Download and fill out section one of the Request to Non-Resident Admission Form (English | Spanish). Upload the release of attendance form to the online enrollment form or provide to the school. 

    If you live in Clover Park School District but would like to enroll at a different school in the district: 

    Notify our Student Services department by email at pjones@cloverpark.k12.wa.us or by phone at (253) 583-5154. Download and fill out section one of the Request to Transfer. Upload the Request to Transfer form to the online enrollment form or provide to the school. 

    *If you are requesting a specific program, please take the form to the district office for program approval. 

  • Download and fill out the SPED Request for Records form and upload it to the online enrollment form or provide to the school. You will need to enroll at your resident school and inform the school that your student ahs or may need special education services.

  • The online enrollment form can be translated through your browser’s translate function. We have created directions for translating the form in English and Spanish.

  • Once an online enrollment application is completed and submitted by the family member, an email confirmation will be sent to the email address used during the enrollment process. 

  • Parents wishing to Home School their student(s) must file an Intent to Home School form annually by September 15, 2025 or within two weeks of the beginning of any public-school quarter, trimester or semester, with the public school district within which the parent resides.
